OVERVIEW

Lirip Canyon in Baturaden is a canyoning package specially designed as the perfect introduction for adventurers who want to experience the thrill of exploring a canyon for the first time. Located on the slopes of Mount Slamet, this trail promises a combination of adrenaline-pumping challenges and unspoiled natural beauty, supported by clear and fresh river water.

Lirip Canyon is not just a water trekking route; it is a complete natural water play trail. Although ideal for beginners, this route is still action-packed in a relatively short time.

You’ll begin your trip in the morning when our guide pick you up at your accommodation (additional charge for shuttle - in the same day), Next, we’ll drive you to our canyoning base in Baturraden, its take around half hour from Purwokerto train station or Purwokerto City Area. Arrived on our canyoning base you’ll be fitted with all of your canyoning gear. We have change rooms, showers and toilet facilities. We also have a locker facility where you can leave your towels and a change of clothes for the day. 

Your adventure begins at 8:00 a.m. After a warm welcome, enjoy a light breakfast and hot drinks before our team helps you fit all your equipment. From wetsuits and canyoning boots to helmets, we will ensure that all your equipment is safely and comfortably fitted for a day full of action. Before starting, our guides will provide a comprehensive technical briefing. You will learn basic canyoning techniques and how to use the equipment safely. We will also conduct a short practice session, including trying rappelling, so you are fully prepared and confident when heading to the starting point.

Your adventure will be dominated by three main elements that test your courage and agility:

• Rappelling (3x up to 12 meters): This is the core of your canyoning experience. You will make three vertical descents using ropes (rappelling) from waterfall cliffs. The highest point you must conquer reaches 12 meters. This activity combines physical strength with mental focus, giving you the sensation of being under a waterfall while controlling the rope.

• Jumping (2x up to 4 meters): To test your courage, this route offers two opportunities to free jump from a height of up to 4 meters into the natural pool below. This is the most exciting way to enjoy the depth and clarity of the water.

• Sliding (1x) : Experience pure joy as you slide swiftly down a natural rock eroded by water (sliding) once. This activity is a delightful reward after more intense challenges.

All activities at Lirip Canyon are guaranteed to be safe because you will be provided with international standard equipment (such as wetsuits, harnesses, and helmets) and accompanied by certified professional guides. Lirip Canyon is the right choice for experiencing the thrill of true canyoning without any prior experience.
